Hi Oz!
I'm coming out from the land of lurkdom to congratulate you on breaking the buckling streak!
Mama probably has enough milk for them right now as demand from newborns isn't very high. That's a good thing because it helps assure they all get a dose of colostrum. However, things...
Sorry about the little fella. It wasn't a good scenario to begin with. Thankfully, a high percentage of goat births are problem free (unless you raise pygmies - eek!) Don't ask me how I know....
Not a problem!
Admire all that you do! And now school on top of everything else. You are da man! I don't know how you find time to breathe - much less study. Whew!
Well, so much for being incognito, lol.
Actually, I posted months ago when I finally caught up. Can't believe you don't remember me... :(
I peek in frequently just to see how ya'll are doing- and gotta admit - ya'll got this!
So glad you had a great date night...and HECK YA spoil that little girl!
Moving pigs can sure be a challenge. We found using a couple of pig boards or using a bottomless cage to drop around them and walk them in works sometimes - but "sometimes" often times isn't enough, lol.
Congrats on the new doeling AND all the eggs. You do have some awesome enablers! Hope you have a great time with your family and that all your eggs are fertile and vigorous!
Safe travels - have a wonderful trip!
Yep - he's been a nurse for a looooong time, lol. We are pushing the end of our 5th decade of life and he's been doing nursing for 35+ years. He's been in home health care management for quite awhile now and fairly recently mentioned that he misses being in a hospital. I told him that since...
Thanks for the tip - I'll check out Ben's diary also. And, I MUST blame someone else for the Silkie eggs! To take personal responsibility would be to admit that I just couldn't help myself! What I didn't say is that I have another bid in on another batch of Silkie eggs AND more Barred Holland...
O.M.G! I finished it...took a few days, but by golly I finished it!
What a saga! It's edge of your seat drama, romance, angst, and an emotional roller coaster.
First let me congratulate you on the adoption of your beautiful children. Second, let me congratulate you for not only following...
I've been a lurker for quite some time on this thread and I'd like to ask a question. Last fall I received some SG's from McMurray Hatchery. The cockerals are not at all living up to my wishes, hope they taste good! Thankfully, I have one young rooster that I obtained from a breeder that I'm...
Two years ago I grew sweet potatoes by doing just what Galanie suggested.
I didn't plant them until proably mid-April because they like the heat. Mine grew beautifully but when I started digging them I found some kind of worm in almost every one of them. I'm not sure what it was, it looked...
7L, Love, love, love your gardens!
I'm not sure why I'm so slow getting started this year. I spent the weekend with my grandbabies in San Antonio so I didn't get anything planted - again.... :(
We had cabbage from the garden last night for dinner. I was surprised to see it actually form...
Galanie, you are so far ahead of me. I just got my tomato plants in the ground yesterday, and tomorrow they will likely be blown away...
I had to do a Google search on the FPJ and Korean Farming - fascinating stuff! I will have to give the plant juice a try. I don't know what I'll use...
