    @megpie021 they are brahma/silkie, leghorn/silkie, cochin/silkie, turkin/silkie mixes, nothing pure. We will be hatching pure D'Uccles soon though.

    Ours are all silkie mix as our roo is a cuckoo silkie. But I've got 2 pullets that are almost 12 weeks and 12 chicks that are going in 3 weeks.

    Naked neck is a dominant trait, my turken is an olive egger. The eggs are fertilized by a Cuckoo silkie. If you are interested I can show you a couple of their chicks and we can discuss eggs.

    He's not overly loud either. Aside from appearing to walk around blindly:lau, he has been a good rooster so far.

    I pick him up for my kids because he is protective of the flock and I don't want him to jump at the kids. But after I pick him up its like holding a puppy or a cat. he will just lay there to be pet.
