    My hatchery dark Cornish hens are laying eggs. I have a rooster that has mated with them. I've put one egg under another hen that's brooding right now. I hope it was fertile. Got about 18 more days to go.

    What hatchery does TSC source from? Out of a dozen chicks 8 turned out to be cockrels. You pay extra for pullets! Probably go for chicks online instead. Idk. My flock is 22 wks old so I know what I got obviously. Wish I had this info when I first bought all my chicks. LIVE AND LEARN!

    I'll take her out for a while and watch the politics between young and older Bantams. If she wanders of without returning and all the kiddos are okay I'll make it permanent. If not nature wins
