    Thought I would pop back with an update.. The suspect now at 17 weeks, I still believe is a boy. He is much bigger than the other and has a green tinge to his feathers, his face is also much redder and Wattles bigger :(

    Hay everyone Quick question, newish to chickens...Is it possible that my 9month old silkie is broody? She has been spending a lot of time in the nest box, there aren't any eggs that shes sitting on as the kids check for them twice a day.

    Pinky I also was very slack in not thanking you for your egg it has been a crazy year so far and seems to be getting worse! unfortunately it was unsuccessful :( I would put it down to the post man..

    Hi clukeclukeluke yes that is it! It was actually recommended to me by a pest control friend who had nothing himself to help me out.. I do love this site I hatched my first chicks last year and another this year... I am down to 2 silkies and 3 baby silkies.. This is my new facebook :)
