Hi there i have 2 13 week old wyandottes, I was sure I had one of each sex as they feathered completely different...now I'm not so sure!

I thought the rose comb one was definately a roo and the one with the single a lil lady..

Thankyou in advance for any help!

Thought I would pop back with an update.. The suspect now at 17 weeks, I still believe is a boy. He is much bigger than the other and has a green tinge to his feathers, his face is also much redder and Wattles bigger :(

On my wyandottes, I will hold them in my lap and look at the feathers growing from their back (and under the wing a little bit), the saddle and hackle feathers. they are triangle shaped, sometimes a different color (green tinge like you mentioned), and you can compare the triangle shaped feathers to a hen's round shaped feathers to know for sure. I do agree that looks like a roo in the face, very red and nice wattles/comb, I doubt a hen would have those at this age so I am saying roo. But I can't see the hackles or saddles well, you will have to do an inspection in person :)
