I do have two other older hens, that are stating to slow down on laying. We are planning on building the chicks a separate coop. So should I consider letting them outside around 10 weeks? I will slowly transition them into the cold weather if we order them now as day old chicks. I am planning to...
Im considering getting chicks, but Im worried that it will be too cold to put them outside by the time that they are old enough. I live in Rhode Island so it can get pretty cold even in October. I just wanted to make sure it's okay to expose them to the cold weather so suddenly.
thank you!
I might just wait until I get home So I can assess the current situation. I will ask my friend to feed her wet food and to give me a daily update. I will keep you updated from there.

I have been having this problem for a while now. my easter egger hen has been limping for a few months know and both of her feet have gone completely limp. I have tried giving her vitamins and other medicine but I'm afraid they have not made a difference. Today I noticed that one of her toes is...

My Easter egger, who is an older hen has been having many medical problems. We rescued her form a fire, and we do not know her exact age. For the past few months, many medical problems have risen. First, she is limping, and it appears that on of her feet is completely lifeless. She walks on this...
What kind of form of the vitamin works best?? Pills or tablets tablets? Do I need to force my hen to eat the vitamins or would she find it appealing on her own??
