    City Coop Model 9

That top part comes down to vent partially, and then all the way down to vent for cleaning. There’s a hatch inside on the back bottom portion that comes down so you can push the muck out. We live in CO. The door is short because it’s designed for my daughter, but it can be adjusted to whomever...

    Brand new Chicky

She’s walking and standing a bit more today. She’s acting completely normal, and has been. Eating, drinking, and all that. It’s just that leg. I can’t physically see anything wrong with it. In a way she’s unbalanced and you can see her being a little topsy turvy when she stands. She falls over...

    Brand new Chicky

We hatched some chicks out on the 9th of this month. They all are doing exceptionally well! But one has an issue. The thing eats and drinks and walks. But it doesn’t like to stand or walk very often. It seems its left leg doesn’t want to work properly but the legs aren’t splayed out to the...

    Finally Hatching Time! Pics!

We got one more babe. So out of 11 eggs (the owner wasn’t sure were even fertilized because her Roos slow down in the winter), we got six chicks, five alive and well! The last chick is yellow and it’s so cute! According to the wing sexing method (I’m not sure how reliable it is), we have three...

    Finally Hatching Time! Pics!

That’s great! This has been an amazing experience for all of us. I have a 2, 5, and 6yr old. I didn’t have to worry about the older ones at all. Although they still got lots of reminders. My little guy, he tries to do everything mommy does. Lol So my advice would be: -Put it somewhere out of...

Lol! That egg is still working, but I can hear peeping, so leaving it alone to let the chick do its thing. No new pips.

    Finally Hatching Time! Pics!

Unfortunately the drop in humidity was detrimental to one poor babe. :/ Chick number 5 did not make it.

    Finally Hatching Time! Pics!

We had a bit of a scare earlier. My son is two and he climbed up on the counter and propped the lid open. By the time i found it (Which wasn’t long), the humidity had dropped over 15%!! Ahh! Got it back up, and things seem to be going okay!

    Finally Hatching Time! Pics!

I was keeping them on a cloth that’s not slick until they got their bearings (I did place more cloth down for them though). I haven’t been able to keep them in the incubator to dry because after over two hours, they’ve been wet still. The little one that just hatched is hanging out in there for...
