    I made mine out of a Omaha Steak styrofoam cooler. I found the instructions on this site. Another good place to get a nice thick cooler for free is Wal-Mart. Ask for the cooler that they get the night crawlers in. They normally throw them away

    Has she started sitting at all? Mine did not sit until she and her sister had 30 eggs in the nest. She may keep adding an egg a day until she is ready to sit.

    What can I use besides a chicken saddle?

    I think what you do with the duct tape is put the sticky sides together with just a little sticky on the ends that attaches to the underside of the feather. It stays on for a while. protecting the back but not sticking to the skin. I am buying duck tape today for a couple of my girls.

    Great question. I was wondering the same thing my self. I have 10 muscovy ducks and 6 guinea chicks together in a brooder now. They seem to be getting along just fine but I do have separate homes for them one they are old enough. They will free range together during the day though.
