    Looking for a bantam... suggestions?

Cochin bantams/Pekin bantams are nice. They are friendly and fluffy and I beleive they’re true bantams. I think they are relatively cold hardy but not especially cold hardy so that could be a downside. And having a group of them if possible with all different colours is cute and funny.

    Am new to this

Oats might be healthy for humans but they are detrimental for a chickens health. Chick starter is good feeding them corn and oats would be very unbalanced. Oh and :welcome

Cochin large fowl cross cochin bantam

I’m not sure how you would do that, because Cochin bantams (Pekins over here) are True bantams. Which means they are not a small version of any other breed despite the name. They were brought back from China to Britain where they were called the Pekin. But from then on I don’t know how the...

    Oohhh look what Pricilla did

Congrats on the first egg! 18 is pretty early from what I’ve read so maybe it means she will be an exceptional layer! Or then again I could be wrong and it’s normal lol. Either way New eggs are always exciting!

    Low noise

Silkies, Faverolles, Orpingtons, Pekin bantams, Polish, these are a few popular ones but there are many many many more breeds that you’ll find to be quiet and docile. Fluffy bantams are usually nice.

All these ignorant old people claiming that global warming doesn’t exist so they can feel better about the selves for leaving the world a mess. Almost all climate scientists will agree that climate change is real and it being sped up and worsened by human activity. Even NASA agrees and they have...

They're scared but keep following me(Cockerels)

sorry no I meant when you said that roosters often cannot exist in the same space. But now that I think about it you probably meant in circumstances where it’s a small flock.

They're scared but keep following me(Cockerels)

Isn’t it natural for a flock to have multiple roosters, as long as there is space for them to escape.

They're scared but keep following me(Cockerels)

If you really want to keep all 3 the best option if you have space is to get more hens.

They're scared but keep following me(Cockerels)

Only in rare circumstances having a chicken as a house pet is humane. If you have raised these cockerels outside and have been outside their entire lives, it would be very very inhumane to keep him indoors. There no grass or bugs or foraging space indoor. Usually the norm is around 1 cockerel...

    Got bite by my cockerel

Yeah I ageee, It is very unempathetic and a bit rude to tell someone else the moral value of their animals. I mean is it that hard to understand that some people don’t just use their birds as egg machines lol?

    Got bite by my cockerel

I think it’s a bit disrespectful to call people’s beloved chickens, “just chickens”. Lots of us place a higher value on our birds and love them as much as any other pet.
