Holding your breath for 18 days......(BABY PICS PG 5!)

I have been offline for a bit….been so busy there just hasn’t been time for forums (horrible I know) In case, thanks so much for all the comments everyone. Naturally I’m so proud I could burst. @LMEggs, he really is thick, but without being coarse at all. Hard to believe he was just 3...

Current coop and future plans **Pic Heavy** Advice welcomed!

Many of us started out with a less than stellar coop and then move up! Here was our first one: http://intentionalfamily.wordpress.com/2010/08/13/coop-complete/ And this is the one we are building now: http://intentionalfamily.wordpress.com/2011/06/03/farming-friday-coop-redo/ We are also...

    Our Second Attempt

Yeah just a little tiny bit of chicken math going on here. There is a foot of chicken wire all around the top right now and it stays surprisingly cool in there due to the shade from the garage. More will be above the door and a couple of windows. Enough? It is hotter than Hades here no...

    they're all dead, all 11

I really empathize! We lost our whole flock back in December. All you can do is learn from it and try to make everything as predator proof as possible in the future.

    Our Second Attempt

Our first coop was a mess! Our level was broken (seriously no joke) and the result was decidedly crooked. On the positive side....well......it worked. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=376437 I have been dying for a new and improved coop ever since! It needs paint...

Prego Mare Thread ~*New Foal~June 17th*~ NEW PICS: Post #82!!!

Samber is Tico's great-grandsire. Sempatico is actually pretty well known to stamp his get with a fabulous temperament. My girl is a Halo bred TB and could use a little water on her fire....lol. ACK! You mentioned a stallion with Samber and did not post a picture.....this is very serious!

Opened a Can of Worms I didn't want to!!! I need some horse advice.

Celtic, I have no advice. I just wanted to say I really empathize with you. I'm sure you are all torn up in knots worrying about your horse. I hope this has a good ending.

    Carport to Barn Project

Locked--Thanks! We're just taking it one step at a time. We'll have that sweet barn I mapped out when I was 12 someday! Bossroo, thank for the tip but that isn't an occupied dwelling. Its a garage. Our house is much further up from that area and the septic/leach fields are mapped out and...

    Carport to Barn Project

Hey everyone I just wanted to share our project. We have two mares and while I wanted a palace of a barn for them, my practical husband said we needed to be a little more minimalist until we could afford more. He asked, could we not do something with what we already had that would be safe and...
