    mine lays an egg a day for like a month, then it might take a day off. They're also really friendly. In england in winter my light sussex lays as regularly as in summer pretty much, but its not as cold over here!

    because it looks like something we have in the uk and blue coppers are really rare in the uk, we just get cuckoo marans pretty much over here desertmarcy

    Is that a bluebell? I have one, they are marans crossed with RIRs and there eggs are brown/tint, if its a bluebell

    maybe, but surely a maran hybrid would lay brown eggs.we have a bluebell (RIR cross maran) and she looks nothing like this weird chicken that has been given unto us :p. And sevenbabychicks, we got her from a hatchery in england, sorry :(
