Well, as of today, I have 5 poults that have hatched under my old hen... The eggs that I rescued and put under the Buff Brahma hen are just starting to hatch.. I saw one little turkey baby peek it's head when I fed and watered today.. I see broken shells, but I'll check tomorrow for sure and... -

I am currently experiencing a heart breaking hatching season for my turkeys... First, my incubator hatch was due on Monday with no signs of anything....Humidity had dropped to 55% during the night..I have again raised it up to around 72% and I will give them another day and pray for the best... -

lost three of my babies today..Not sure how they managed to get outside into the pen, but everyone is locked down for the night and tomorrow, I will be working on finding the chink in the armour or the hole in the coop.... -

I have no clue now..I thought I had sweetgrass hen and tom, but evidently not..I went to porter too and truthfully my poults look like Spanish blacks, but two more hatched and they look like sweetgrass!!! I'm wondering if they can throw back to a recessive gene.. I wish I knew. I've searched all... -

How high of fences?
I clip flights on one side only, so they are pretty much grounded... Mine wanted to tree roost instead of going in their coop... Now that they're full grown, I keep them clipped and my fence is only 4 ft... But to be honest, my tom paces constantly along the fence and has rubbed all his chest...
