    They work in any of those size pipes. Your problem is not the nipples it's the pipe. Some PVC is very hard so you need to tap the hole for 1/8" pipe.

    As long as they are on a gravity fed system. They are getting more water than you think. Just because there is no gush of water or pool on the ground doesn't mean they are not drinking.
