Can you tell what breed these are?

Okay here are some more pics. I have a total of 8 chickens in this coop--One rooster and 7 hens. The first pic is of two of the hens--I have 4 like these--two lighter ones and two darker ones. The one below is one of the Easter Eggers I have She's a hen. This is one of the darker ones. My...

Can you tell what breed these are?

Okay, I have more pics. They aren't the best. I'll put several up--some of the individual chicks, one of them together and then some of the potential mom. The last pic is of them with the hen that hatched them. But I don't know if she is the one that laid them.

Just wanted to show some pics of my baby chicks..

I have a question. My chicks are now 6 wks old. When should the mama start laying again? In her coop, there are 7 hens and 1 rooster. I'm only getting 3-4 eggs now. At one point I was getting 7 eggs. Not sure what's going on with them.

Crazy easy way to make hard boiled eggs

I don't do the salt. I myself use hot tap water. Bring to boil. Boil for 14-15 minutes. Put into bowl with cold water running over them for a few minutes, then peel. My yolks aren't discolored at all.

Just wanted to show some pics of my baby chicks..

They turned 5 weeks old yesterday (Monday August 24th). They were hatched by their mom...she's in one of the pics. The last three pics were taken today, Tues. August 25th.

    Okay, few more questions....

I'm sorry, I don't know what to do for you. Maybe you can put it in a brooder as you wait for the others to hatch?

    Okay, few more questions....

Here are my 2 week old chicks---the first one is the smallest--the one that didn't have the feathers all puffed out. The second one is the biggest one--the first hatched.

    Okay, few more questions....

Well, I had to toss the eggs that I had in the incubator. I noticed one had cracked this morning. I thought it was hatching....but noticed some yellow color. Wasn't sure if that was good. So I took it outside (just in case) and started opening it. It was bad. So I just tossed the other 5.

    Okay, few more questions....

I put them in the incubator on the 21st. I know there were some farther along then the others ( I candled them before I decided to toss them just in case). There is a smell, but I think it's from being in the nest where the other two hatched. I rinsed them off before I candled them the first...

    Okay, few more questions....

OKay question. I have the 6 eggs that my hen didn't hatch in the incubator (all the eggs were laid at different times). The chicks are a week old. When should I give up on the eggs in the incubator? The air cells don't seem to be getting smaller, but most of them are dark. Also 4 of them are...

    Okay, few more questions....

I finally had two hens go broody. But one gave up. The other was sitting on 10 eggs--not all hers. Two hatched then she gave up on the rest. I have 8 in the incubator seeing if they hatch. Anyway, here's pics of the two chicks and mama hen. Also a pic of the Cornish Crosses eating chicken feed...

    Is this common with hens?

I went out there early to feed this evening, because I just realized the babies had no way to get water. Poor things! So I got our waterer out and filled it up and showed them how to drink. The smaller one really wanted it. The smaller one also was a little more messy. Wondered if I should bathe it?

    Is this common with hens?

Well, Mama Hen has her babies out in the coop today. The rooster chased her back into the nest house but she came back out. The one that's smaller looks like it's feathers dried hard and one eye wasn't open when I looked more closely.
