The curved spike is not preferred but is accepted. Most breeders will try and get rid of it for the next generation. I would suggest buying a Rosecomb hen from a reputable breeder and breeding him. The offspring will have better examples of the comb.
I heard flamingos turn pink because of carotiniods or something like that. Does that have anything to do with chicken eye color genes? I have a friend who is trying to breed an all green-eyed flock.
