I too am rooting for the singular baby but worry about it being a singular baby. Chickens are such social animals I worry that it will be lonely. I also worry about it integrating into the flock when it's old enough. I fear the orphan will have a hard life for a while.
Here too. I even skipped the farmer's market thinking I'd have to deal with it. What we did get around 9:20 - 10:15 was so light I'm not sure it even registered. The truck that goes around spraying water on the horse track before a race to keep down the dust would've wetted the ground more. 😕

20 week update pictures. Plus a note that either one of the littles is close or McDiver is finally getting ready to start laying again ( it's been months) as someone has dug out a nest on the floor of the coop.
