Chinese Painted Quail / Chinese Blue Breasted Quail / Button Quail
Due to current circumstances, I am needing to rehome some of my Chinese Painted Quail / Chinese Blue Breasted Quail. These are also commonly called Button Quail. Basic needs for these birds are non-medicated gamebird feed and warmth -- they can't handle winter temperatures below about 60...- Rozzie

What have you paid for a six-pack of plants?
No one has 6 packs here this year. It's all 4 packs or single larger plants. I have yet to find a single vendor with pepper plants being sold except as the large jiffy pots. Those are from $2.89 to $3.99 each , depending on the store. I left them there and bought seeds to start at home, though...- Rozzie

Do all coturnix -not button- lay equally well?
PortugalBreeder, There is confusion and disagreement on the classification of the Chinese Painted Quail / Button Quail. Some resources list them as Coturnix chinesis. Others list them as Excalfactria Chinensis. I've yet to see hard scientific data / evidence that indicates where these birds... -

Good way to risk the lives of your chicks... Safer to just put a lamp over them. As for button quail, not all of them make good mothers either. Many will go broody. Some will sit through til hatch. Some will kill the chicks... -
