Breed Information, Comments, and Experience with breed:
By far the best breed we've owned. Easy to please, and great tempered. The Rooster still takes care of his girls, but is great around our 15 month old son.

I know all 3 of these are roosters, I got them the other day. 2 of them look exactly alike. What breeds might I have here? All have single combs, but the black ones have slate colored legs.
Ok so I got three roo's today. They are about 20 weeks old. One of them has a crooked toe, which does not effect his walking or anything like that, it just kind of bothers me. Would a splint on it straighten it out, or is it to late for that?
Take any info from speckledhen to be correct, I always wait for her input on anything. They def look like boys to me

I agree. Have you seen my 4 year old hen, Lexie? She's lighter than her sons. It happens, but I do think a dark cockerel is far more likely than a light pullet.
Well since your dog would die for you and your children. I will pick my dogs over my chickens any day. If you have a dog and love your chickens more, something is wrong. Honestly, thats why they call it mans best friend. Don't jump me my fellow chicken lovers. LOL
