Is there a way to close it off where if needed you could?
I'm not a chicken expert but I'd be concerned about the bigger ones
pecking the smaller ones.
can't wait to see what everyone else says, because I'd be asking the same question
Well mine sleep quit a bit but also are up running around a lot to eatting and drinking, not constant sleeping. The 2 i had that did the most sleeping passed away on me but I could tell from the begining they were sick. but if they seem pretty active and are running around drinking and eatting...
Oh yeah and I forgot to add that the brooder is not opened without one rule being followed. Both doggies and cats have to be put UP before the brooder is EVER opened
We have 3 poodles and 2 siamese cats in the house. our brooder is in the dinning room. We have hardware cloth on it so no kitty paws can get thru. my cats are curious. But i know that if one was loose it would be bye bye birdie. but in the brooder they are safe and sound. The cats do love...

As some of you know, I ordered my lil chickies from Murry McMurry and they got here this morning. I got the call from the Post office at 8am! I was soooo happy but nervous as I was scared they wouldn't be alive or something after reading some of your experiances! I got there and heard them...
I've seen a lot on this. Is it best to start them off from little ones on it? Where do I buy one? Do they sell them at TSC or would I have to order it online?
Thanks
