    I have some that won't be adults ( 33) until spring. They'll be 9 wks at the end of August. Haven't given much thought to winter. 21 wks by November.

    Got gave us two ears. One to let stuff in and one to let stuff out. Let folks talk, you don't have to keep stuff you don't like. "You may be right", "You have a point", " I didn't know that", are all non confrontational, keeps the peace as you walk away, to get a drink.

    I kinda wish people would read a book, magazine or posts BEFORE buying chicks. Have an idea of what you need to do first. The public library was my first source for learning about chickens. BYC was just getting started. Yes, I am old.

    Do you have Red Dorkings. I've got some "filler" chicks that I think might be but they don't have a fifth toe. Do they grow the toe later?The packing list shows 9 Red Dorking, RD filler chicks. I can't find any pictures of chicks on line.

    So I found the paperwork. The line the "filler chicks" is on says, Red Dorking, code RD, Filler chicks, 9. I don't mind them sending fillers and I'm happy with my order. Except if I wanted anything else they're out for the year on breeds that I want. lol I'm already planning next years order. lol.

    You might check with the Livestock Conservancy. They might know of a breeder. Or a breeder of another kind of Leghorn.

    Sandhill has Barred. Sold out til June 10th. Never heard of a Cuckoo leghorn. Barred and Cuckoo are similar feathering. I had Cuckoo Marans and Dominiques, both good breeds.
