Is it possible you will have your lavender Marans project eggs around March? I am in Alaska and would rather not start chicks til then. I have had fair luck hatching shipped Marans eggs, and would like to give them a try.
I am hoping someone may have bantam barnevelder eggs in the middle of March. If anyone thinks they may, please let me know. The price I have placed is just to fill in the blank.

That's interesting E... I hadn't heard. Carmen, the advice I got was the same as Paula Joanne's .... Just feed them without the fishmeal supplement for 10 days to 2 weeks before butchering and the flavor should leave the meat.
I can commiserate .....We now have a house chicken because the Russian Orloff was suffering in new company from separating issues and not eating properly. She's fine now but doesn't REALLY want to go back out....
