I agree completely. We don’t have any vets who treat poultry available in our area at the moment, but a family friend who is a vet told us just to soak and medicate for now.
I’ve heard honey is great for infection! We are going to be doing 2 daily epson salt soaks and keep their feet bandaged and medicated along with some bedding to walk on in a small pen. We tried to remove the scab but it’s so large and stubborn it wouldn’t really budge. Hoping they heal well!
This is your formal reminder to check your ducks feet, even if they aren’t acting weird!!
All of my ducks were walking completely the same, no limping, no weird behavior, no lethargy.
I only discovered their bumblefoot upon seeing it while they were swimming.

Here is Princess now! I did some psychical therapy on her beak every day for a while, and it never got much worse. She’s doing great! Thanks for the help everyone.
Hi! Sorry i didn’t see this or respond in a timely manner at all lol. I am doing well! I hope you are too. Here are some recent photos of chickerellas adopted sisters. all doing great!

thank you! She’s a brahma, and our biggest at that, so i had a feeling she was probably just overheating way worse than our other hens. I wanted to make sure, i saw some posts saying these types of poops can mean reproductive problems, but she hasn’t been laying for years.
i will just continue...
My poor hen big mama has not been herself since yesterday. Yesterday she was sitting sort of randomly in the middle of the yard, but I didn’t assume anything seeing as it’s been around 97 degrees here everyday, and she is 7 years old so I thought possibly she was just really hot (she has full...
