Like I said I'm sure it's not mareks I am very well educated about it and have always had my flock tested for it. I am almost 100% sure it's a niacin deficiency or a possible injury. I am very bio secure and have had a clean flock for many years. Also if it was a tumor or lesion caused by the...
They are in a separate pin but I also have turkeys and chickens. I havent had an incident. I have even taken one of the birds to get tested through the county and no mareks. I have never had a bird with a tumor or that been lame until now.
I'm not sure they have always looked like this. I touched them and they are normal temp so I dont think there swollen. Is there any other way I can tell if they are swollen for sure.
It's a GNC brand 250 mg tabs, not the flush free one. I was putting it in the water and food now I'm just putting it in the food because its water soluble I figured it would go bad in the water quickly.
I'm not 100% sure but when I prick his foot he does pull away but he won't curl them arround my finger when I push against the bottom of the foot so I'm not sure.
I should have added that I put him a pool to allow him to swim but he doesn't. He doesnt really use his legs he just used his tail to move arround and his toes stay mainly curled
Did your drake try to move arround alot? Mine only moves to the food and back to the water ect. Also I do feed flock raiser to all my birds and niacin supplemented.
Hello BYC, I have a muscovy duck that was born May 30th. On July 20th I noticed that he could no longer walk and now walkes on his hock joints. I dont think it's a slipped tendon or any kind of injury because he is penned up and theres really no way for him to get injured really in the pen he is...
Hello, this is my first time raising baby turkeys and I have 2 week in a half old bronze breasted turkeys and they have been perfectly healthy until now. Today I went to check on them after school and the smaller one is laying in the food bowl and she is breathing hard and the abdomen is very...
I've been dealing with my chickens feathers being broken off for months now. I initially thought it was protein content but I had them on 25% protein feed for a while and it wasn't working so I reduced it back down to 18% because my ducks eat the same feed and I diddnt want the protein to be too...
I think so too, because they only attack the chickens that are scared and running past them the other seem to be whatever about it lol i hope it works out. And ig the hens do have mites or lice should i treat them with the dust too? Or are they too young, they are 4 months old now
Here is where they are kept until i get home in the late afternoon, arround 3 pm. Maybe ut is too small and thats why they are losing feathers? Maybe they are picking eachother while i am not there? Also they are out all day on weekends. If so what do i do about that? TIA
