    Best foods? Bedding? Basking? Harvesting?

Hi, I'd get some white grow light for fill spectrum winter lights. Do they have any type of covered run? I'dreccomend to get an flock feed, I like nutrena. You don't want to give them to much extra fatty treats, chicken store fat around their organs and too much fat causes health issues and death.

Hi I'm a newby with a big problem...

The first attack is always the hardest, I'm sorry. Since they weren't secured on your property, you may or may not be able to ask for anything except payment of the birds, about $30 each. Remember to stay calm, kind and reasonable.

Plymouth Barred Rock hen or roo?

That's a lot of white for a female barring. Properly bred barred Plymouth rocks, are odd to be sold straight run because it should be obvious at hatch what the gender is.

They're not fussy, they're spoiled. they know there's tasty junk good available if they don't want to eat their healthy dinner. Cut out scratch completely, they'll eat their food when hungry enough. Side bar, unless the scratch and corn are also organic, you're wasting your money because in...

Acv won't help anything, especially in municipal water. Are you mixing the scratch in the feed? They need to get less than a spoonful per hen, once or twice a week.

Silkie Hen Vent Blow Out - Prevention - how to prevent long term - Diet? Advice needed?

Sorry you lost your birds. Too much treats such as scratch can cause laying issues. They're mainly fat and carbs, chicken don't retain fat on the outside like we do, it build internally, around the the organs. Making life in general harder and usual shorter but it definitely makes laying...
