Thank you both. That gives me some things to help me decide.
I had thought about the waterer that uses the cups and takes up zero floor space, but everyone that uses them goes back to conventional waterers during the cold months. And that can easily be five months here. That's why I am...
Yeah, it sounded better in theory than it looked going in
The onions and garlic were a given. I just needed something else... I almost went with a jar of artichoke hearts
Bingo!
I found some white kidney beans.
Not exactly mushrooms, but will give my sandwich a different texture than just sausage and onions.
I'll let you know...
I took some sausage out of the freezer and tomato puree out of the pantry. I'm thinking sausage subs.
I just wish there was a substitute for the mushrooms I don't have :idunno
I get sun in the summer and snow in the winter.
I'm guessing I can keep the food and water in the open side of my hutch year round. The side with hardware cloth everywhere but the roof. Unless something happens where I get snow accumulation in the open side... in which case I can staple some...
I never tried cooking the onions first. I'll have to put that on my list of things to do.
I like a thin slice of tomato on my toasted cheese, too.
And I just saw some Vidalia onions in the store yesterday :thumbsup
My favorite onion.
That is some good sounding food @ValerieJ
I'm cold and hungry and feeling lazy today. So, seeing as how it was mentioned a few days ago here, I'm falling back on something that used to be in my rotation at least every other month.
I didn't even bother browning the meat :)
Rotini is really good, too.
School always used elbow macaroni in its goulash.
And for whatever reason I prefer elbow for macaroni salad. But mom used to use shells for that, too. Maybe she preferred shells, lol.
