I hear that! I'm all about seasoning. One cupboard is devoted to just herbs, spices, etc.

I never tried cooking the onions first. I'll have to put that on my list of things to do.
I like a thin slice of tomato on my toasted cheese, too.

And I just saw some Vidalia onions in the store yesterday
My favorite onion.

Wish we could get vidalias here. Walla Walla's are a close second, but they ARE second.

That's another great idea for a grilled cheese sandwich. I'm definitely going to try both of these sandwiches.
