    Found my almost grown chicken laying on her stomach, but one leg was extended and dangles uselessly when I pick her up. I tried gently feeling around it, and found I could turn it all the way backwards. She didn't seem to feel it. And ideas? Thanks!

    Likely the duckling just thought it was choking. Some chickens do similar things when swallowing huge chunks of food/mice, but once they work it down it's fine.
