Duck with black patch under foot (may be bumblefoot?) and swollen joints.
My poor duck both of his foot has dark red near black patch under his feet and a swollen joint on his left foot. Is the dark coloured patch bumblefoot? How do I cure his swollen joint? Thank you- Gyoza

Thank you for the reply. I think I'll go with roostorf's suggestion. If I'm to cut it's bone all the way to it's joint I'll need to slice open part of it's muscle. I don't feel qualified to do so.- Gyoza

Cuckoo maran chick wing injury
Couple days ago one of my 1 1/2 weeks old cuckoo maran got attacked by a rat. She managed to get away but not without injury. She lost her left wing. There is about 1/2" of her humerus left and of that 1/4" is sticking from been covered by any flesh. I have applied Polysporin on her injured...- Gyoza

They were. When I saw them dead in the morning they were still wet (except head part is starting to dry). I think may be I left them in the incubator too long with too high of humidity? Then after I moved them to brooder may be it was too dry for their lung? -

Actually humidity went up to 95% even with both vent open Sigh entire family is still very sad over loosing the ducklings. -

They are so cute Baylor. Congrats!! Sigh, okay back to square one. I've sanitized everything and set another 4 eggs. Hopefully in 28 days I'll have better luck this time. Oh what should the humidity be after hatching? -

The brooder is a recycling bin with 75watt IR lamp on top. No the ducklings weren't fluff out yet. After over 24hrs in incubator they were still 'wet'. -

All ducklings are dead!! I moved them to brooder last night temp at 96F and this morning woke up to see all three ducklings are dead!!! What happened?!? -

After much encouragement and help from QF 3 of 4 ducklings alive and well. 2 of them were natural born and 1 had to be given c-section. It's membrane were thick and rubbery. How long will it take for their feathers to dry? They are still very wet. -

All four eggs now have pipped through their shell. The first one that got through has made any more progress in the past 12+ hours. It's so hard to be patient. I'm keeping all One of the new pipped egg the duckling inside is really talkative. I can hear it from 40 ft away. -

Okay after 16 hrs of worrying the egg with air sac broken has a 1/4" hole on the side. All fingers crossed hope everything goes well.
