Emergency!!! Egg on 25th day

They are so cute Baylor. Congrats!!

Sigh, okay back to square one. I've sanitized everything and set another 4 eggs. Hopefully in 28 days I'll have better luck this time.

Oh what should the humidity be after hatching?
I am keeping my fingers crossed for your next hatch I truly hope it ends on a better note. I think most of us on this site have suffered loss with hatches or full grown ducks to predators so we really do understand and empathize with your loss. My two miracle babies are still here today. The smallest runner is actually much better on his legs today so that is hopeful. I cant bring myself to name them yet as I still fear them being taken away from me

one of these days. Hopefully they make it a full week and I can integrate them back with the others. Their umbilical cords are all dried off and gone so there is nothing left to peck at! The smaller one is just sooo small compared to the rest I fear he will be bullied a bit. And since there are two of them they keep each other company when I am not around to snuggle them.

They were. When I saw them dead in the morning they were still wet (except head part is starting to dry).

I think may be I left them in the incubator too long with too high of humidity?

Then after I moved them to brooder may be it was too dry for their lung?
