Are my chicks too young to start on the horizontal nipplers? I started them on them yesterday. Will they learn how to use them and get enough water? If I go to push on it, they all flock to it like they are dying of thirst!

After my hatching experience over the last couple of days, I'd suggest just watching and leave them alone. I'd really try not to open your incubator until they have all hatched or until you had to.
I am up north. So any eggs I get that are still warm from the hen are brought in and I just set them egg carton containercontainers on my kitchen counter.

Until then, you are correct that my rooster is an EE. I have 2 gold laced wyandotte hens. I believe that my EE roo has a rose comb.
