You guys are both doing great. Final update on mine. Set 22, 16 hatched fine, the one that pipped Wednesday night died in the shell. Another was pipped yesterday morning. No progress when I got home last night, so I decided to help her out, something I really wasn't wild about doing. The membrane had stuck to the side of her head, but everywhere else was still lubricated. I got her out cleanly and left her in the incubator all night. This morning she was standing and chirping, so I put her in the brooder with the others. No splayed legs, but toes were a little crooked. If they aren't straight by the time I get home, I will make her some sandals for a few days. The Polish that was splayed is doing better. I still have her strapped, and she is standing and walking better. Maybe after a few days I can remove the strap. So that left me with 17 of 22.
I did the eggtopsy this morning. Of the 5 remaining, 3 were totally infertile, and 2 were fully formed, but no pip. One was in the wrong end of the egg. I'm calling that a result of 17/19 I am setting another batch tonight. I think on this go around I am going to lower my humidity to 35% for the first 18 days. I didn't mark my air cells last time, but I think the pip and zips were too close to the end of the egg. I incubated those at 40-42%. I'm going to dry it out a little and see if that helps.
