This evening my husband found one of our chicks, not quite one week old chick unable to stand or walk. It walked and ran around normally. When I hold it, it will kick its legs, but when you put it down it tries to walk but just falls on it back or tips over. It’s like it can’t hold its weight.

We had a chick born earlier today via natural with the hen. It has yet to stand up and walk. It has been at least 12 hrs. My husband said he thinks the hen walked on it. It is trying to move but can’t seem to lift its head. Any thoughts?

New to raising chickens. The first of June we got 20 chicks, all different breeds. A few of them were supposed to be white Leg Horns. They are around 16 weeks old and they are still yellow. They look so much like our Buff Orpingtons I really can tell the difference other than the Buff’s arena...
