Hello and welcome to BYC!!! I was just about to say the exact same thing as KeyFlock! Posting pictures of your chickens and asking what they are will probably be the best way to get an idea of what breeds you have. Also, you could go through the list of breeds in the breeds section of this site...
I really need to get some more pictures of my chicks up, they are huge! I will try to get some today or tomorrow, sorry about not updating this as often as I wanted to.

I made them a little enclosure out of a few pieces of plywood so they wouldn't roam to far away. Here are...
No, they don't peck at it at all, I am thinking of just taking it out. Last year I had one for my other batch of chicks and they loved it so I bought another one this year, but these chicks are not enjoying it. Sometimes I pull a piece off and put it in my hand and then they will eat it, but...
Thank you so much everyone who entered, I wish there would have been more entries but I decided to pick winners even though there were not many entries because I didn't think that there would be any more entries.
Welcome to BYC! Your chicks are so adorable. Just an FYI your chicks are not ameracaunas they are most likely Eater eggers, they will still lay green/blue eggs and will be beautiful, friendly birds. You will have so much fun with your new chicks!
Make sure your coop is very predator proof and close up their door at night, and you shouldn't have a problem, unless predators come out during the day (such as hawks) There are a lot of threads/articles on here about how to build an extremely predator proof coop.
