I got my first ever Chics yesterday from a local store here. They are all supposed to be pullets but thankfully have a home lined up for a Roo if that happens. He has a flock and lots of land so wants a rooster. I do not. lol. I'm so excited about my girls and I already have one serious sweetie that fell asleep in my hands. haven't named them yet but working on it! I got 2 silver laced wyandottes, 2 aracaunas and 1 golden comet.

Welcome to BYC! Your chicks are so adorable.

Just an FYI your chicks are not ameracaunas they are most likely Eater eggers, they will still lay green/blue eggs and will be beautiful, friendly birds. You will have so much fun with your new chicks!

That's what they had them labeled at the store from the hatchery so that's all I can go by not knowing chickens.

Sounds like you have a lovely variety! I've really enjoyed my Wyandottes in particular. Your Araucanas are likely Easter Eggers (usually sold under the wrong name by hatcheries/feed stores). I've kept an Easter Egger before, and she had an excellent temperament and laid well, too. I've never kept Golden Comets, but they have a reputation for being excellent egg layers with good personalities.

Good luck with your chicks! I hope they turn into lovely productive laying hens.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Most of the hatcheries which the feed stores purchase their chicks from only guaranteed 90% on sexed orders, so it wouldn't be a surprise if you ended up with a rooster among your chicks. Mymillefleur is correct about the Easter Eggers. Hatcheries, and be extension the feed stores that purchase from them, often inaccurate label their Easter Eggers as Ameraucanas or Araucanas. True Ameraucanas and Araucanas have slate blue legs, lay only blue eggs, are relatively rare and expensive, and are never sold by hatcheries or feed stores with the exception of Meyer Hatchery (which charges five times as much for their Ameraucanas as they do for their Easter Eggers). Easter Eggers are hybrids produced by crossing blue egg layers with brown egg layers to produce offspring that lay eggs in colors other than just blue. There is a good article at http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/09/ameraucana-easter-egger-or-araucana.html explaining the difference between Ameraucanas, Araucanas, and Easter Eggers. There is nothing wrong with having Easter Eggers. In fact, they typically will outlay true Ameraucanas or Araucanas. Our Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorite chickens. She loves their colored eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your chicks.
