    Interesting color......any Cream Legbar experts?

yep im certain. My breeding stock look standard; no slate legs and such. What's odd is that last year i hatch from the same group and had no pure grey offspring. Can a random gene come out of no where where breeding or is that not possible?

    Interesting color......any Cream Legbar experts?

Parents as youngsters Parents currently One of their offspring They are definitely from my pure stock as i've had the three hens with the cockerel in the same pen all year, so they haven't been with a different cockerel. I hadnt noticed the slate legs actually...that is strange. Quite...

    Interesting color......any Cream Legbar experts?

Hiya This is my third year breeding Cream Legbars and for the first two years everything was normal, with the males coming out light grey and the females being darker. However, this year i've somehow ended up with three pullets that do not have the correct markings and are completely grey. I'm...

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or A Cockerel? Click Here!

@kerrialexander. Hm, not too sure. I’d say pullet from the lack of comb and wattle development but looking at the tail I’m not 100%. Feel free to send another photo in a few weeks time =) @Eyehartephotography. Looks like Corey is a cockerel! @afieldssnowyegger. Currently Fluffy isn’t looking...

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or A Cockerel? Click Here!

@qggradek. Probably a pullet. If it’s a cockerel, it must be a quite slow maturing one. @KSeggers. Yes, as @TheOddOneOut said they’re boys I’m afraid :(

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or A Cockerel? Click Here!

@TheOddOneOut. His feet and legs are large which is a sign that he’s a boy. Also, the head of a pullet tends to be quite slight and your chick looks to have a more rounded head :) @chicklove14. much too small for me to tell at the moment! Maybe send photos in a few weeks? =)

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or A Cockerel? Click Here!

@tizabel_. 2 weeks is a bit too young to tell, especially with Orpingtons as they are a slower maturing breed. I’m not sure how to feather sex but will happily look at some photos in a few weeks time :) @Alyssa-Bee. Phoenix - Pullet Datson - Cockerel Dishy - Can’t see the body but from head...

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or A Cockerel? Click Here!

@Rachmaginger. Definitely a cockerel with that big comb, and a handsome one too! @FarmerSeth. I’m leaning towards cockerel due to the head shape and big feet. Some chicks develop much quicker than others which can make sexing them a little more difficult haha.

Hey y’all, I have an interesting question...and it’s about creating a new chicken variety. My mother and I are both chicken fanatics and do a lot of breeding + selling. One of the breeds we do is the Sussex and have about 5 varieties so far. We are both now interested to know how one would go...

Buff Orpingtons - pullets or cockerels?

Apologies for late reply, I’ve had a busy week and was unable to get any more photos. I have good news though; I put the two in their own coop and just a few days later found a lil egg in the nest box! Now I know I’ve got at least 1 pullet:ya
