Sorry for the delay! Here are the pictures, hopefully they're clear enough to see her leg properly.
It seems like her leg has gotten worse, it seems more splayed out (so maybe it is splayed leg after all?) and she keeps getting flipped upside-down, though I don't know whether she's doing it to...
Thank you! I've read both and they were very helpful, though I am having some difficulty determining what exactly is going on with her leg. I'll post a picture shortly.
We picked up several bantam chicks from Tractor Supply a few days ago and noticed that one of them is having trouble walking around properly. It may have gotten worse over these few days, as when we first got her she just seemed a bit more wobbly than the other chicks. Her right leg seems fine...
One of our broody hens has abandoned her egg. I believe the egg is at least 14 days old. All I have is a heating pad, a brooder, and a digital kitchen thermometer. Is there anything I can do to help save the egg?
Thank you!
Hello,
I have recently noticed that the skin of my rooster, Rocky (15 months old), is much redder than I have ever seen on a chicken, and it does not seem normal. It is a bit rough, chapped and unhealthy looking. The redness is the most pronounced in the vent/abdomen area, and the only place...

Thank you very much for your advice! Unfortunately, all the vets around us treat primarily large livestock and don't see many chickens. We did not see any puss, foam, or bubbles, just a clear liquid leaking out of his eye.
We do have saline solution and neosporin. What is your opinion on...
Hi,
When I fed the chickens this morning I noticed that one of our rooster's eyes was swollen and leaking a clear fluid. The lid was almost all the way shut. The other eye seems to be fine. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be and what I should do? :(
Thank you!
We have two special needs chickens, Peanut :D and Francis.
Francis (Barred Rock) is from our original flock of six chickens. When we got her as a chick, she had curled toes, pasty and fell asleep much more than an ordinary chick does. We always had to make sure that she was thriving and...
