So, my 7 month hen has black super runny poop, she is outside all day eating stuff. all of her sisters are laying, but not her. i think it started when i had the ducks in with the chickens. she's on corid, but it doesn't seem to do anything. all of her sisters are fine and laying but not her...
some chickens slow their production with age. if you are getting soft shelled eggs, you might need to feed them a little more calcium- oyster shells, or egg shells.
So, i was thinking about getting chickens in the spring, and was wondering what are like the top three best chicken breeds for egg laying and cold-hardiness.
And also, what would be a good rooster breed?
Please share your opinions!! Thanks...
i found these videos, you can make a youtube playlist and put these three in it, or if you find better ones, and there is a "loop" button, and it will keep playing.
if you have a loud speaker(s), hook it up to your phone or computer and play continuous Muscovy noises very loudly and she might hear that and come back. I call wild ducks like that all the time, and they fly and land on the lake i live on to see what is going on.
