    What is the main difference or are you able to tell at a glance? I have four red chickens... Two of them are darker, almost brown does that mean that they are RIR? Thanks in advance for your help!

    How often does a hen get broody in a year? My hens first cluck this year are out and about on their own and she is sitting on more eggs! I didn't know that chickens hatched more than one clutch a year.

    I really do want a pullet Leghorn.... I was out observing my chickens today and out of all the white ones I noticed that this one was more upright and had a longer showier tail. I've really lucked out this year, so far it looks my pullets out number my cockerels

    This chicken is 7 weeks old and it is bigger than all of my standard breed chicks at the same age, does that mean it's a roo, or just a big pullet?

    It kinda looks like a cornish, I have a dark cornish here, but I think there is a lighter colored cornish too.
