I have a trio of serama's that are house chickens and would like to put them out in a secure pen with daytime coop for shelter. They will be brought back in house at night.....
This doghouse looks cute but wonder if it would hold up. I would paint it well inside and out...
They will be a year old in June. I was uncertain if they were calico or sweetgrass so I sent a pic. to Kevin and asked him.
He said they are a true sweetgrass and nice ones at that! I have to say that they are the prettiest color on my farm.
They will be a year old in May and are really huge! The hens are laying also. Asking 20.00 ea. And you must take a pr. I can sell extra roosters but not hens. Sorry! There are a couple blue roos in there for sale also. They were grouped for photo shoot but have a large free range pen.
This poor guy was given to me by an 85 year old lady who said it was hers as a wedding gift! I am sure he lost his mate some time back..
My caption is: He's on his last leg.
He came from Porters Rare Turkey Farm. I thought he was a golden phoenix but now am thinking a tiger bronze? I need to post a pic. of him with his tail fanned out...
I have a golden phoenix tom, and a sweetgrass tom. 45.00 ea. They came from Porters Rare Turkey Farm.
The sweetgrass hen is 35.00 and I have a rare blue/ fawn hen which I forgot to take a pic of. She is 40.00. If interested I can take one tomorrow.
All turkeys will be 1 year old in May/June.
I have a year old pr. of india blue peacocks for sale. They are not related.... Asking 100.00 for the pr.
Willing to meet you part way..
I will post pics. later today. thanks!
I asked for and got a cast iron 1/2 hp. submersible sump pump! Talk about making life easier when cleaning the duck's pond....
Better than diamonds..
What did you get??
Must be a male thing cause my little Squeak Toy will not let me reach for the remote when he dominates the coffee table! He especially likes Jerry Springer and the Animal Planet channel.
I found this pic. of my young royal palms as well as 3 turkens that shared a barn with them. Taken last summer. There is a buff and a blue fawn also.
I have fallen down several times this past week trying to walk on the ice and snow that is crusted over. This has to be one of the worst...
I have more than my fair share of coons and possums here on the farm. I let my Jack Russell named Bodhi take care of them.... He ran this one up a tree after it was snooping around my coops in early a.m.
One thing I noticed about coons is they will NOT come down from a tree in the daytime...
Even the pea hens look disgusted at all the snow and ice. They watch me slip and slide out to their coop to feed and water them. The loft doorway is their favorite sunning spot. I will not let them out in this weather because I think they will fly to the trees and into the woods. I keep...
Started out with 6 and now there are 16 of them and their house is just too crowded for sleeping in at night. It is approx. 4 ft. by 4 ft. and is a child's playhouse..
I sold and gave some away and ended up with them back and now I have way too many for their pond and barn... Not to mention...
My neighbor brought me this round bale of hay during the snowstorm this past week. I have been using square bales of alfalfa/grass mix and control feeding of it as well as their pellet feed.
Anyone have issues with feeding round bales of grass hay to horses and ponies?
