When removing the turner is it better to just lay the eggs on a rubbery holey mat type of thing
or use the cut down egg cartons? I have never tried the egg carton method.
But maybe if they are not rolling around they will be able to get the shell cracked easier.
I have had some humidity issues...
I have a Hova-Bator 1583.
Why is my humidity so hard to control?
Temperature stays at 99 - 100.
But humidity has gone from 45- 66.

It is only 2 years old.
Is there a part that I can replace that controls humidity?

Any ideas or suggestion?
Thanks!

I have...
On 3/22 I put 18 eggs in a brand new Hova Bator 1583 with turner that I was testing out for my daughter's class.
I wanted to do a test run before I helped her class hatch some eggs.
The waiting game almost killed me.
I bought 12 of the eggs from a girl who raises chickens and other animals...
Newbie here with a question. My 10 girls will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. They are growing so fast! :o)
I live in Florida and we got most of the coop built yesterday. I am only planning on putting them in it to sleep.
They will be out in "their" yard during the day.
Okay, here is the question...
