    So the past two days, I got 2 huge eggs from my 6 1/2 week old jumbo browns. They were laying soft shell eggs for a bit before these big ones. The first one is 18 grams and double yolked. Here they are: Today's also 18g. Haven't cracked it yet, but probably double yolker too.

    Delaware or a cross?

    Is she a delaware or a hybrid or just a poor quality delaware? It was sold as a delaware from the feed store, and I believe it is from belt hatchery. The store knows their stock pretty well, they won't have told me delaware without knowing it is supposed to be one. It just may be a poor specimen.
