    We have increased our flock size and are increasing the run and coop space. Our original coop has 6 nesting boxes and roosting for 20 chickens. Our original run is 10' x 20'. The added run will be another 10' x 20'. The added coop space will be 3' x 10'. We lost over half our flock this time...

    Put down

    We had to put down one of our chicks today. He was born with a bad hip joint. Our neighbor is a vet and gave us plenty of advise, but we just couldn't help him. This was the first time we had to put down any of our chickens.

    Day old chick on walking on one foot

    I have a day old chick that only walks on one leg. The other leg appears swollen at the "bend" in the leg. Any recommendations?

    Newbie needs info

    My very first egg hatched yesterday. After fully dry, I placed her in the brooder. Is it normal for day old not to be up walking around? Other than really big feet, she appears normal. Please advise. Thank you.
