    coop question. . . chicken door.

    I built a coop with a sliding door in the floor that goes to a ramp for the chickens to enter and exit. My 5 week old chicks seem to come up the ramp and jump into the coop just fine, but they have yet to exit the coop by themselves. Will they get it in time? Or do I need to redesign the door?

    Lost 6 out of the 7 that just hatched!!

    I'm new to raising chickens, but am baffled by what happened to my chicks last night. All were fine. All were eating, drinking at about two days old. Suddenly, as I'm watching the littlest, the only bantam kicked over the water (not unusual) and fell over backwards, straightening both legs...
