I converted my water-er I used for my chicks when they were little to one with 3 nipples in the bottom and hung upside down.. They took to it immediately...
I have 7-8 week old RIR and 2 chicks stretching out necks with beak open like gasping for air or something and then shake their heads. Could it be Gape worms or something like that? They only do it when they are sitting still or on the roost.
I was wondering if chickens will eat garden plants that have 7dust on them? I have had to dust my tomato plants and my chicks love to go in the garden when I let them out for a hour or 2 a night..I don't think they will but want to make sure before i let them out of the run.. Thanks in advance...

I was wondering when it would be a good time to put my 2 week old chicks outside? I live in Indianapolis and the nights are in the upper 40's to 60 right now.. I just think they would be happier outside rather than in a 2" wide x 4 " long box.. Any opinion is helpful..
I was wondering how I can at little to no cost convert this coop I got for chickens to hold 6-7 Rhode Island Reds.. It was a gift and figured it would be easy to convert. I don't NOT want to use it just make it bigger to hold 6-7 RR's? Any help is greatly appreciated...
