I processed a few of my Cornish X today. One of them had a liver that looked different...
It looked like it had been chewed up. The color was normal and there were no white spots on it.
Should I be concerned and what would cause this to happen?
I have seen this before in a store bought chicken.

We processed a few roosters about 2 weeks ago. Lots of dark meat...However very good...I know part of it is the type of chicken.
Processed 3 of my meaties last weekend. WOW!!!!!
Now that is the best chicken I have ever tasted.
We ate chicken at least 4 to 5 X a week before I started raising...
Because of the cold weather my Cornish X were confined until last week.
It warms my heart to let them free range before they serve there purpose.
One of the funniest things I have seen is one of those butter balls running toward me. OMG!!!!

I have a 3wk. old broiler chick that was the only one that hatched out of 12. At the base of her tail feathers is a deep pink...not red...just really deep pink. Is this normal? Thank You!!
