Get Duke dogproof traps, and forget live traps! IMO

Have been messing with live traps for a few weeks and the coons just are too smart for them. No matter how I hide them, cover them with blocks etc, they just wouldn't go in. I live in a suburb area and I think they're just too used to them. Had a duke trap out for 3 nights baited with fish and 2...

Has anyone tried nite guard for raccoon control??

It's basically $20 for a solar powered flashing light that comes on at night and is supposed to mimic a predators eye flash. Most reviews sound promising on it. Here's a link: http://niteguard.com/pages/Videos/

Budget coup, converted dog house. Please don't laugh, lol, but any advice is appreciated.

OK, have 2 Reds, 2 sex links, and 2 little black chickens that were obviously misidentified at TSC, so not sure what they are yet. The dog house is just about 4'X4'. I added a poop tray with perch that will have Sweet PDZ, and built nesting boxes on the back that still need shingled. I...

    Can someone ID?

These were sold as black astralorps, but as the reds and gold sex links rapidly outgrow them, and they start to feather out, I'm sure they aren't:( Thinking the last is a Plymouth Rock?

Ok, I have 6 chicks, 2 reds, 2 sex link and 2 small blackish chicks that i cant remember the name of, sorry. But, I'm going to convert a 4'x4' dog house into their coup and have already built a 10'x 4'x 4' run to attach to it. The whole system is really movable so that is nice. My question is...

I'm sure this has been debated before, but whats the friendliest "pet" turkey breed?

I have a few broad breasted bronze for now, but not thinking i would enjoy them this much, kinda had them with dinner in mind, not as a strict pet. But ,y son and I love them, and now I'm thinking of getting a few to keep solely as pets. I really like the midget whites, royal palms, bourbon and...

hello, turkey noobie here needing a little advice!

So i ordered 4 broad breasted bronze turkeys for my boy. It started out with us going to the tractor store to get some dog and bird food around easter, and of course, what do they have, baby chicks and ducks. I've raised chickens before, so when my boy asked if we could get a baby duck, I said...

    Turkey newbie question thx

Hello all, After about 6 weeks, we moved my boy's 2 turkeys outside to their new coop and run. The turkey run project that should've taken an hour or so luckily only took 6 1/2 hours with my boys help!;) Anywho, they are 2 6+ week old broad breasted turkeys that seem mostly feathered out. My...
