I posted this on my last thread but since it's different I guess I need I post a new one.
My hubs and the chickens have kind of made the coop a mess. If I rearrange things a bit and lay down some new hay, will it make them stop laying?
I must admit that I haven't actually seen any lay their eggs. I just come in and there they are. I have 8 Red Star hens and they are 19 weeks old and we got our first eggs on Saturday, August 11 and we had 5 eggs together in the same nesting box. Then none on Sunday, 3 in the same box on Monday...
Hi folks I'm new here and new to chickens in general. My husband was raised on the farm but hasn't had chickens for a long time. He does things the way his grandfather did them and sometimes it seems harder or not safe enough.
