"Teacup" is a gentle giant that I can no longer keep. He's just over one year old. Despite his size, weirdly, he always defers to other roosters. Hand raised, completely non-aggressive, yet very protective of the flock from predators. Size makes him pretty "hawkproof".

I'll describe here, and post photos of specific hens if anyone is interested. All hens.

I have 14 chicks right now from 3 broody hatchers... All of the chicks were fathered by either a blue jersey giant/orp (this guy: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/what-is-my-giant-guy.1176140/), or a silver laced Wyandotte roo, and one of many types of moms (Silv laced polish/lav...

When he crows, he sounds like a cross between a monkey and a train. :) Thanks!
Is my pigeon lonely?
I rescued this little ferile guy around 20 days (s/he's about 70 days now).
She cooed and bobbed in front of a mirror the other day, but no idea if she's a boy or girl.
She loves /preens cuddles my hand, flies to my head, and coos when she hears me -- although is not...
Rescued baby pigeon (20-dayish?) a few weeks ago. (Progression photos here http://wp.me/s3xsDf-pigeon).
So many questions.... But for now, is she too skinny/little? She lives in a cockatiel cage on the front porch with the door open, should she wish to fly away with a local pigeon (?). Feeding...
Our last two remaining fertilized chicken eggs were abandoned by our broody hen 16 days into their 21 day gestation. Our bearded dragon has taken over for her! We put them in Elvis-Daisy's terrarium to keep them warm, and she waddled right over and sits on them every day.. Today one of the eggs...
