I have three growing chicks that I need to sex as I can't keep roosters in my area because of the noise. One is a Lavender Leghorn, the second is, we think, a Silkie cross (has Silkie feet) and the third is a hybrid of some kind as well. The leghorn hatched on 5th August so is about 3 months...
These two hybrid chicks are now about 3 months old - I believe they are pullets, what do you think? Also any ideas on what breeds they could be composed of? They are bantams, I think. The all black one is Cher and the speckled one is Dusty.
I have 3 silkie chicks - one hatched on 5th August and the other two on 17th. Is there any clues you can give me to tell the sex? I understand it is hard to tell with these. Here are some pictures. First two are the "twins" and the bottom one is the older - sorry it's far away - I will try...
This chick is a hybrid of some sort. It hatched around the 17th August so is about 5 weeks old. It has weird feet - they are bluey grey and have five toes, like a silkie.
