I have two roosters with my flock - I need to concentrate on breeding just ONE with two hens that have been mixed into the flock.
After the three have been penned together, how long will it take to assure that the correct rooster is the fertilizer of the eggs?

I thought I took very good care of my little flock - but within the last two weeks three of my beautiful Wyandottes have died.
They seem to be choking (mildly) and then drowning in their own throat liquid. They do not defecate, they squirt. Please, someone tell me how to stop this . . . right away!
I know they are territorial (they are - right?) and if you "somehow" get rid of the dominate 'coon another one will fill the void. My question - do they always live in pairs? How long before another one shows up? The ones who have made their last visits to my chicken pens have been about a month...

Looking for 3 or 4 Partridge Wyandotte pullets. There must be a few out here in BYC land. Chickens are easy to ship - but could pick up within 60 miles of Pensacola.
How would one go about creating a birchen color Wyandotte? Would it be a fluke? Like using a Black and a Silver Laced? Any genetic engineers out there?
